Specimen Hunter Day Trip

A guide on Bungsamran recently land this 265LB Carp! Now that's what you call a specimen!A standard day trip targets Bungsamran's main quarry, the Giant Mekong Catfish, using a float and bread as bait. This method is very effective for catching lots of fish in a single session, but in order to target larger specimens or carp different tactics are adopted. The use of two rods per angler is a must, and it's essential you have a guide who is experienced in finding, hooking up, landing and handling the larger fish. We also fish a longer day when targeting the larger fish, usually 8hr to 10hrs.
